Brief Description:
Greyhound Lifeline is a fantastic branch of the Retired Greyhound Trust and such a great cause for the rescue and re-homing of retired racing greyhounds.
The dedication by the team, volunteers at Greyhound Lifeline does them a great credit and I was fortunate enough to adopt my greyhound Clive in September 2010. Following on from this I volunteered my help with giving them a new website so more emphasis could be put on homing these exceptional greyhounds as pets.
Part of the work involved consolidating some of content from their related sites so they have one place at where to update their news and new dogs coming in for re-homing.
I'm a firm believer of trying to give people back time and there were a number of goals to achieve with this project of which were met and exceeded.
Some of these goals included:-
- Consolidate and improve exising content
- Consolidate and improve upon old site
- Ease navigation to give the Greyhounds more exposure
- Plus lots of other business issues
Analysis was done and will carry on over time, already though there has been a huge difference in adoptions and long this may continue.
If you are looking to get a pet, make sure you check out Greyhound Lifeline or any of the RGT branches (where local to you).
Be warned though! You will need to make room on your sofa ;) Greyhounds are 40mph couch potatoes ;)

Brief Description:
MultiLayer Design was commissioned to re-design/re-align a website for the excellent British Expat website, which serves as a community for many Expats around the world.
Part of the work involved consolidating content from other related sites so the whole of British Expat and its many forums all looked cohesive, welcoming and friendly to their current members and to attract new members.
There were a number of goals to achieve with this project of which were met and exceeded.
Some of these goals included:-
- Consolidate exising content
- Consolidate site & forum aesthetics to be consistent
- Consolidate forum code to be re-used across all forums (all forums run off 1 file version)
- Newsletter re-aligned to no longer fire into the void
- Ease navigation for the huge content British Expat has to offer
- Re-align ADs to be tracked
- Plus lots of other business issues
Analysis was an important aspect for the British Expat community site as it was an already long established site. Therefore it was important to see how it could be improved and improve access to the most common content being searched for.
Since finished with the project the site now differs from the original re-aligned version with less immediate content.

Brief Description:
MultiLayer Design was commissioned to re-design/re-align a website for Eagle Imagery.
Prior to this the website had been subject to being kicked out the ballpark in regard to the search engine positions in the main search engines.
Part of the work with the re-alignment was to ensure better coding standards with clean, concise code which, was also search engine friendly and improved upon the old site.
The results from this work is the site has now gained really good search engine results fairly shortly after being recoded and in a way it could be easily adapted to PHP in the future. (The PHP implementation is to follow shortly).
At the time Eagle Imagery's owner Mark Ballantyne wanted to keep the ASP hosting, although is now looking to get this ported to PHP.
It's this kind of approach of MultiLayer Design's that make us the better choice amongst many for the ability to code to most kinds of Template/CMS systems. This can be key in being able to transfer old sites to new, whilst still keeping some of the best elements intact or improve upon them.
If you need an excellent logo for your business then why not check out EagleImagery.

Brief Description:
MultiLayer Design was commissioned to design a website for MattchedIT client - Cafe Jac in Jersey.
The Cafe in Jersey (Channel Islands) wanted a website where they could sell food to local people. Through the website they can order their food for either
local delivery or book a table for lunch/dinner etc...
The idea was to give back time to locals having lunch, for example:- book a table for 1pm and food arrives at 1.05pm, which means because they have pre-ordered,
they are not using their lunch hour waiting for food.
The website also shows upcoming events as the bistro has live music on regular occasions and is the ideal place to grab a bite to eat or stop by for a drink
if visiting the gallery or theatre.
